This Privacy Policy describes how Real-Helper ("we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use the Real-Helper iOS application ("App") or this website (together, the "Service"). We take your privacy seriously and have designed Real-Helper to store as much as possible on your own device.
Real-Helper stores the following data that you create or enter:
By default this data is stored only on your device and is not transmitted to any server unless you use the Export & Sync feature (see Section 3).
Information you enter is used solely to provide the features of the App — displaying your property list, calculating drive times, generating Power Rankings, and so on. We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties.
If you use the Export & Sync feature, your property list — including addresses, notes, links, ratings, and photos — is temporarily uploaded to Firebase Cloud Storage and Firestore, both operated by Google. This data is:
Real-Helper connects to the following third-party services to deliver certain features. Each service receives only the minimum data needed to fulfill its function.
We use Firebase Authentication (anonymous sign-in), Firestore, and Cloud Storage for identity management and the optional sync feature. Google's privacy practices are described at firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
On iOS, drive-time calculations use Apple's native MapKit framework. On Android (when available), and for isochrone (travel-time zone) overlays on all platforms, we use Mapbox APIs via a server-side proxy (Firebase Cloud Function). Requests include property coordinates and, on Android (when available) for drive times, the coordinates of your saved Points of Interest. No personally identifying information is included. When you tap "Get Property Info," the property's address is sent to RentCast to retrieve publicly available information (beds, baths, square footage, estimated value, last sale). RentCast's privacy policy is available at rentcast.io/privacy.
Current mortgage rate estimates displayed in the Mortgage Calculator are retrieved from the FRED® API. Requests do not include any user data. This product uses the FRED® API but is not endorsed or certified by the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis.
Address search, reverse geocoding, and (on iOS) drive-time calculations use Apple's MapKit and Core Location frameworks. Apple's privacy policy applies to data processed by these frameworks: apple.com/privacy.
All data you create in Real-Helper is stored on your device and remains there until you delete a property, clear the app's data, or uninstall the App. If you used Export & Sync, any data uploaded to Firebase is associated with your anonymous user ID; deleting and reinstalling the App creates a new anonymous ID and severs the link to any previously uploaded data.
We do not currently offer an in-app "delete my account" flow because no personally identifying account exists to delete. If you have concerns about data stored in Firebase under your anonymous session, please contact us using the information in Section 9.
Premium subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. Real-Helper never receives or stores your payment card number or billing address. Apple's privacy policy governs all payment transactions.
Real-Helper is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided information through the App, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.
